Morning proceed to visit rock fortress of Yapahuwa, where was the 4th kingdom in 13th century of Sri Lanka. Climb the rock to see ruins and beautiful panoramic in the village. You can see 19th century paintings in the new temple in the bottom of the rock. Return to hotel and have an Ayurvedic massage for relaxing the mind and body. Lunch, dinner and overnight at hotel

Morning leave for Dambulla. Visit the Dambulla Cave temple at Dambulla – a serene and scenic temple tucked under a rock that is decorated in the interior by wall murals that cover almost 23,000 sqft of rock surface. This is also a World Heritage Site. Have lunch at a restaurant en route. This is also a world heritage site. In the afternoon proceed to visit the 8th Wonder of the World, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, it is a World Heritage Site, and it is a palace built on top of a rock rising up to 200 meters. This rock fortress was built by the parricide King Kasyappa in the 5th century AD. On the ascent to the summit of the rock see some of the marvels of this ruined palace, such as the rock paintings or “frescoes” and from the summit one will have a panoramic view of the surrounding. Return to hotel for dinner and night
Morning transfer to visit Minneriya National Park by jeeps, this is a designated Wildlife Sanctuary where you are sure to see herds of elephants. Other fauna that you may spot while on safari are the Sri Lankan Sambur Deer, endemic monkeys and a wide variety of birds including peacocks. During your visit in August you will have an opportunity to see a phenomenon known as the “Elephant gathering” a congregation of 300-400 elephants at a man-made reservoir. Rest of the day at leisure. Then proceed to visit Hiriwadunna village to have a authentic village life experience, start with a bollock cart ride and crossing artificial lake by a boat. Arrive at the hill capital of Kandy and rest lf the day at leisure to walk in the city and late evening see the Kandyan dance show which depicts the rituals of ancient traditional. Morning proceed to visit the Temple of the Tooth known as the “Dalada Maligawa” where the tooth relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined in a casket at this temple. Many Buddhist pilgrims pay homage and offer flowers in the morning and evening. The relic is taken in a procession with elephants, drummers and dancers along the streets for 10 days in August, this parade is called the Esala Perahera. In the evening you can watch this street procession Then leave for the hill city of Nuwara Eliya, the center of the tea growing district. We drive along the rolling tea estates seeing women in colorful saris pluck two tea leaves and a bud. Visit the factory where the fresh tea leaves are dried, crushed, fermented & fired using the same age old machinery used to make the world famous Ceylon Tea. You can enjoy a very good cup of hot fresh Ceylon Tea. This hill town is known as “Little England” as the British tea planters constructed all the buildings in the old British colonial style. Have lunch at Ramboda in a hotel with nice waterfall view. Arrive at the cool climate to visit the city and walking around the lake in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at hotel
Early morning proceed to visit Horton Plains for a trek along a scenic hill area. You can visit sites such as the World’s End for an elevated view across the mountainous plains. You can have a picnic lunch. Then transfer to Ohiya railway station to board on the train to Bandarawela, through mountains, tea plantations and vegetables gardens, it would be unforgettable experience in your life. Morning proceed to climb the Small Adams peak which offers a superb view in the region. You can take the lunch en route. continue your journey towards Mirissa, in the coastal line.
